Speaking at a recent meeting & # 39; & # 39 stakeholders; South & # 39; Matabeleland in & # 39; Gwanda, technical head of the Zimbabwe Economic Zones (Zimseza), Mr Wilfred MOTs, said Beitbridge Town in & # 39; Madabeleland South, Bulawayo, Victoria Falls, Sunway City in & # 39; in Harare and Fern Hill & # 39; Mozare as Special Economic Zones in & # 39; September.

He also said that 106 hectares of & # 39; land planned in & # 39; Beitbridge and urged stakeholders to identify two other districts in the province.

Mr MOTs said the purpose of their visit to Matabeleland South was to facilitate the formulation of & # 39; plan & # 39; action.

"We are in the southern province & # 39; Matabeleland to assist in the design and implementation of & # 39; plan & # 39; action for the SEZ of & # 39; Beitbridge. Mr MOTs said he had received inquiries from a number of & # 39; potential investors wishing to invest in the SEZ of & # 39; Beitbridge.

He said that the development of the SEZ & # 39; Beitbridge was expected to begin early next year.

Mr MOTs said the chances of & # 39; & # 39 investment in, Beillbridge included construction & # 39; International Airport & # 39; world-class, coal mining, and processing gold and diamonds, class manufacturing, processing & # 39; citrus fruits and building & # 39; bonded warehouses among others.

During the same meeting, Matabeleland South of & # 39; State for Provincial Affairs, Abednico Ncube, urged stakeholders to take an active role in the SEZs are successful.

The the SEZs Act was signed in & # 39; law in & # 39; October 2016 while the board of directors of & # 39; Zimseza was appointed in & # 39; June 2017. The vision & # 39; Zimseza is that the country has a vibrant economy of average income by 2030 & # 39; SEZs to play a major role.
