Couple arrested after stolen jewelry from 7 different open houses

The police arrested a couple after a number of & # 39; complaints about thefts & # 39; jewelery and cash from owners & # 39; & # 39 homes in, Salmon Arm, B.C.

The common denominator? The homes were listed for sale.

RCMP said the suspects presented as potential buyers to attend open houses between September 10 and October 11, 2018.

A large number of & # 39; of & # 39 jewelry; men and women were allegedly stolen during performances.

Some, but not all, of the items have been recovered.

"Most of the jewelry have significant sentimental value b & # 39; estimated loss exceeds the 10s & # 39; & # 39 thousands in; value," said Staff Sgt. Scott West of the RCMP in Salmon Arm of & # 39; statement.

West said the suspects were released and will have a court date in the new year.

The couple can & # 39; potentially face & # 39; charges ranging from theft under $ 5,000, theft over $ 5,000 and possession of & # 39; stolen property.
