Draft decree 2.21.235, which sets the maximum rates for tar, nicotine and carbon monoxide in cigarettes, was adopted by the Governing Council, which met on Monday in of videoconferencing.
This draft decree, specifying a press release published at the end of the Council meeting, intervenes in the application of article 25 of law n ° 46.02 on the raw tobacco regime and manufactured, to stipulate the compulsory entry on each package. the percentage of carbon monoxide, together with data related to the percentage of tar and nicotine.
The aim is to align national legislation with international standards in terms of ceilings for the above chemicals.
