(Agence Ecofin) – The Tunisian National Telecommunications Authority (INT) will launch a new regulatory service & # 39; on 29 & # 39; November 2018 which will enable telecom subscribers limit the volume of & # 39; SMS advertising received by telecommunication companies.

The service called "STOP SMS 'is the result of & # 39; agreement signed in & # 39; last April between the telecom regulator and the National Instance for the Protection of Personal Data (INPDP) and -Organisations for Consumer Protection (ODC). For happy subscribers with many promotional messages and & # 39; advertising arriving every day and even late at night, the action of the telecoms regulator reflects increased involvement with & # 39; his health in protecting the interests of -konsumaturi. Along with INPDP, the new service also reflects INT reminder to Maroc Telecom, Orange and Inwi on the use of personal data of consumers.

Article 27 of the Organic Law No 63 of 27 & # 39; July 2004 on the protection of & # 39; stipulates that personal data "Except for cases provided for in & # 39; this law or by the laws in force, processing & # 39; personal data can & # 39; done only with the express written consent of the person concerned '.
